Stem 25-100 cm, tomentose and with scabrulous recurved hairs. Leaves 1.2-2 x 0.5-0.7 cm, entire, acute, petiole 1-2 mm long; stipules c. 1.5 mm long, recurved. Flowers 15-20 mm long, rose-pink. Calyx limbs ± obsolete, hypanthium c. 1.5 mm. Corolla-tube slender, c. 10-12 mm long, hairy with glandular and simple hairs outside, glabrous inside; lobes 5, c. 1.5 mm long, elliptic, acute. Stamens 5, inserted on the glabrous throat at different levels, included; filaments c. 0.5 mm long; anthers, c. 1.6 mm long. Style included or slightly exserted, c. 15 mm long, stigma bifid, c. 0.5 mm long. Fruit c. 5 mm long.
