Later Delprete, Webbia 79(1): 124, 2024, concluded that although the Icones were prepared as part of Velloso's flora presumably by him, because they were published after the flora they cannot be considered original material, and he designated as a new lectotype an unpublished drawing on parchment in Velloso's materials that was apparently the basis for these illustrations: Type: BRAZIL.
