Notas : This species belongs to Hillia subg. Hillia, and is apparently pollinated by hawkmoths. It is similar to Hillia parasitica, but differs from that in its markedly smaller flowers, leaves, and capsules. It seems to be found growing mainly on ridges and in other exposed areas, and may be an ecological form however the flower sizes of the two groups of plants are distinct, not continuous.
Distribución : Wet forest vegetation at 1200-2500 m in the Andes of central Peru (Pasco).
