Inflorescence a terminal, compound umbel of 3 orders, obconic, primary axis 2–4 cm long, the secondary axes 3–5, usually 1 borne below the others, 3–9 cm long, each terminating in an umbel of 4–8 hermaphrodite, flowers and an outer whorl of 4–6 tertiary axes bearing umbellules of up to 15 staminate flowers (or sometimes including a few hermaphrodite flowers), tertiary axes 25–30 mm long, inflorescence bracts apparently persistent, broadly triangular, 3–4 mm long, pedicels 10–11 mm long, 2–3.5 mm diam. in hermaphrodite flowers, 1.5–3 mm long, 0.5–1.2 mm diam. in staminate flowers, subtended by an apparently persistent, broadly triangular bract c. 1 mm long. Calyx forming an undulate collar, 1–1.2 mm tall, 4–5 mm wide in hermaphrodite flowers (0.5–1 mm × 1.5–2.5 mm in staminate flowers), the rim flaring outward slightly, usually with 5 minute teeth. Corolla of hermaphrodite flowers unknown, those of staminate flowers oblong to conic in bud, the petals (4?–)5, medium green, narrow triangular in bud. Stamens 5 (mature stamens not observed). Ovary 5-carpellate, ellipsoid to slightly ovoid in flower, 7–9 mm long, disc depressed, 3 mm diam., styles 5, free to base, 1.2–1.5 mm long, pale green and ascending at anthesis.
