Description: Andromonoecious trees ca. 4–6 m tall, moderately branched. Leaves palmately compound, 30.5–50 cm long (incl. petiole); leaflets (4–)5–8, yellow green, shiny above, chartaceous to subcoriaceous, narrowly obovate to obovate or nearly elliptic, 5.75–25 × 1.5–5.25 cm, the primary vein not raised above, prominently raised beneath, secondary veins ca. (18–)23–33 per side, evident above, tertiary veins evident, the base attenuate, the margins entire, not undulate, minutely thickened and revolute, the apex rounded to slightly retuse, minutely mucronate; petiolules 0.4–2.5 long; petiole 15–30 cm long, 3–5 mm diam., densely lenticellate in proximal 1/4, the base clasping, not enlarged, lenticellate, the ligulate stipule forming a low collar. Inflorescence terminal, paniculate-umbellate, hemispherical to nearly spherical, with 3 orders of branching, glabrous, cataphylls caducous, leaving a scar, the primary axis erect, 1.5–4.5 cm long, the secondary axes 4–5, 1–2 borne laterally along the primary axis, the others forming a terminal, umbellate cluster, each (2.5–)4.5–9(–12) cm long, tertiary axes ca . 6–8 per secondary axis, 1 or 2 borne alternately or in a pair along the secondary axis, the others in a terminal, umbellate cluster, each 3–7 cm long, bearing a terminal umbellule of ca. (3–)5–7 protandrous, hermaphroditic flowers and 2–3 lateral (rarely 1 terminal) umbellules of ca. 3–6 staminate flowers, pedicels of the hermaphroditic flowers 9–17 mm long at anthesis, 0.8–1 mm in diam., those of the staminate flowers ca. 3–5 mm long, 0.3–0.6 mm in diam., expanding to 10–16 mm long in fruit, subtended by caducous, narrowly triangular bracts, each 0.2–0.6 mm long. Calyx a low rim, ca. 0.2–0.4 mm high at anthesis, 2.3–5.7 mm in diam. Corolla of hermaphroditic flowers rounded-conical in bud (globose in staminate flowers), the petals 5, narrowly triangular, 3.3–4.1 mm long in hermaphroditic flowers, 2.8–3.8 mm long in staminate flowers. Stamens 5, the filaments 2.5– 3 mm long in hermaphrodite flowers, 2–2.3 mm long in staminate flowers, the anthers pale yellow, ca. 1.3–1.7 mm long, with 4 thecae. Ovary 5(–6)-carpellate, ellipsoid (vestigial in staminate flowers), pale greenish-whitish, disc of hermaphroditic flowers emerald green prior to receptivity, then turning chocolate brown, depressed hemispherical (depressed conical in dry material), 2.2–5.5 mm diam., nearly flat in staminate flowers, ca. 1.5 mm diam., styles 5(–6), 0.8–1.2 mm long in hermaphroditic flowers (vestigial and undivided in staminate flowers), closely appressed to form a beak prior to receptivity, then becoming separate and conical. Mature fruit unknown.
