This species has relatively short broad capsules for Ladenbergia, 15-17 x 10-15 mm. In general the plants are somewhat reduced for Ladenbergia, with relatively small leaves and the inflorescences relatively short and often unbranched; however the flowers are not particularly small, with the corolla tube 23-33 mm long.
