Notes: This species has a rather slender habit, ovate very shortly petiolate leaves, cymose slender inflorescences borne with the leaves, pedicellate flowers, rotate yellow or orange corollas ca. 3.5 mm long, and ellipsoid fruits. Several of the collections describe the plants as epiphytes. This species is generally similar to Hoffmannia longepetiolata.
Distribution: At 300-400 m in central Costa Rica.
