Notes:
This species is characterized by its medium-sized leaves, terminal and pseudoaxillary inflorescences with well developed peduncles, and somewhat large fruits.
Distribution:
Humid forest vegetation, often if not usually in riparian sites, at 100-200 m, in southern Venezuela and eastern Colombia in the Orinoco, upper Rio Negro, and Casiquiare drainages.
