Diagnóstico del Género: Arboles. Inflorescencia paniculada. Lóbulos del cáliz fusionados formando un "gorrito" en el botón. Diagnóstico de la Especie: Notoria por las hojas subsésiles, cordadas, y por las flores sésiles.
Distribution: Endemic to Panama
