Eugenia arraphocalyx is thus far known from five collections: three from the mining footprint; one from the access road near the port; and one from Veraguas province north of Santa Fe National Park. The former two localities will be cleared as a result of mining activities, and the latter riparian locality lacks protection and is subject to disturbance and habitat decline from small scale gold mining activities.
