The habit of this taxon is similar to E. foliosa Pennell in having spreading branches (bushy habit) which are densely foliose, glandular and eglandular hairy – nearaly glabrous hairs short, stalks of the glandular hairs less than 5 x as long as the heads, but differs in having the emarginate capsule which is shorter than the calyces and bract lobes being mednialy incurved. In E. foliosa Pennell, the capsule is almost equal to the calyces, retuse, the bract lobes are expanded and not incurved.
This taxon seems to be confined to the higher altitude of Sindh valley. More material is needed to ascertain its exact taxonomic status.
