Comment/Acknowledgements:

A rare and relatively unknown species, seems to be confined to Pakistan and India (a narrow endemic).

Plants almost glabrous, woody at base, ascending, much branched, branches short, upper part of the branches sparsely leafy to almost without leaves. Lower leaves narrowly, linear, 10–40 mm long, 1–2.5 (–3) mm wide, sessile, acute, entire, glabrous, cauline narrowly linear, entire, sessile, 10–20 mm long, 5–10 mm wide. Capitula terminal, solitary, ca 8 mm across. Phyllaries 2–seriate, linear–lanceolate, scarious, dorsally hirsute, acuminate, outer phyllaries 2.5–3 mm long, inner ones 4–5 mm long, smaller than disc florets, membranous. Ray florets numerous, narrowly linear, pinkish (blue fide DC. l. c.), 6–8 mm long, corolla tube ca 3 mm long, ligule 3 – 5 mm long. Female eligulate florets absent. Disc florets 3.5–4 mm long, tube ca 1 mm long. Cypselas 1.5–2 mm long, oblong, compressed, silky, villous hairy, hilum basal. Outer bristles of pappus short, inner ones ca 5 mm long, as long as or slightly longer than disc florets, brownish.
