This species is characterized by an extensively twining habit, stiff-textured ovate laves, interpetiolar triangular stipules, cymose lax inflorescences, yellowish pink to yellowish green or yellow corollas, and thickened fruiting peduncles. It is similar to Danais tsarataranensis.
