Annotation: Sometimes cited "ex Leandri". This is incorrect, the description of the species was included in Leandri's Les arbres et grands arbustes malgaches de la famille des Euphorbiacees (http://www.tropicos.org/Reference/1567), but it was attributed by Leandri solely to Denis (posthumusly) and Humbert. Leandri later (1966) noted it as aninadequately known species "espèces insuffisamment connues".
