A procumbent-ascending glabrous, somewhat glaucous perennial herb upto 25 cm, although more usually 4-12 cm, usually with many stems arising from caudiculi borne upon the rootstock. Stem-leaves alternate, subsessile; leaf-blades obovate-spathulate to elhpticoblanceolate, 0.3-1 (-2) cm x 1-2 (-8) mm, subacute, obtuse or rounded at the apex, tapered to the base, subentire to irregularly minutely denticulate, obscurely palminerved. Pseudumbel 3-5-rayed, the rays usually only once bifid, with no axi lacy rays formed below it: pseu-dumbel-leaves 3-5, whorled, rhombic-ovate, 0.5-1 (-1.5) x 0.5-1 cm, subacute or obtuse, cuneate at the base; ray-leaves opposite, smaller than the pseudumbel-leaves and sometimes deltoid and truncate at the base, but otherwise resembling them. Cyathia subsessile. Glands transversely ovate, truncate on the outer edge, with 2 subulate horns arising from the corners; glands reddish-brown, the horns stramineous. Fruit ovoid, shallowly trilobate, 3.5-4 x 3 mm, smooth, grey-green. Styles spreading, 1 mm long, united at the base, bifid, the stigmas slightly thickened. Seeds compressed-ovoid, 2.5 x 1.5 x 1 mm, shallowly pitted, pale grey, with a terminal conical slightly fluted caruncle.
