Details: Toxicity:
Large quantities of forage with developing seeds cause toxicity in sheep (e.g., Rasmussen et al. 1993). Reported to contain one of the nonprotein amino acids that in other species of Lathyrus cause lathyrism (Burrows & Tyrl 2001).
