Erect, young stem puberulous, covered with persistent, spiny raches. Leaf paripinnately compound, petiole c. 1-1.5 cm long, sericeous, rachis (excluding petiole), c. 1.2-3.8 cm long, sericeous, leaflets c. 6-8, c. 4-8 mm long, c. 1.5-3.0 mm broad, elliptic to oblanceolate, entire, tip spiny, villous on both sides; stipules c. 2 mm long, pubescent. Inflorescence an axillary raceme, peduncle c. 6 mm long, pilose; bracts c. 4 mm long, pilose; pedicel c. 2 mm long, pilose-villous. Calyx c. 11 mm long, velutinous, teeth c. 3-3.5 mm long. Vexillum c. 12-13 mm. Calyx gets enlarged in fruit, c. 14 mm long. Fruit c. 5-6 mm long, pubescent, unilocular, 2-seeded; stipe c. 1.5-2.0 mm long.
