Trailing undershrub, young branches densely tomentose. Leaf unifoliolate, 2.5-10.0 cm long, elliptic, ovate or suborbicular, blunt, obtuse, rarely subacute, glabrescent above, pubescent on the nerves and gland dotted below; petiole 2.5-5.0 mm long; stipules 2.5-10 mm long. Inflorescence a terminal raceme, 7.5-15.0 cm long; flowers in clusters, hidden by distichously arranged bracts. Bracts up to 2.5 cm long, c. 3.2 cm broad, reniform, folded, broader than long, slightly emarginate, petiole short, stipules persistent. Calyx 6-6.5 mm long, brown silky, teeth exceeding the tube. Corolla white, slightly exceeding the calyx. Fruit 7.5-8.0 mm long, pubescent.
