Perennial. Stem 15-50 cm. Basal leaves 7-15 x 1-3 cm, obovate-oblong to ovate-spathulate, or elliptic-spathulate. Cauline leaves 5-10 x 1-2 cm, ovate-spathulate or obovate, obtuse or acute, opposite, connate. Calyx lobes 5-7 x 1-2 mm, ovate to narrowly ovate, acute, ± free. Corolla bluish white or lurid grey, tube 1-2 mm, lobes 8-12 x 1-3 mm, elliptic-oblong, obtuse or erose. Glands two per lobe, saccate fimbriate. Filaments 5-6 mm, squamellate at the base, anthers ovate-oblong. Ovary 6-7 mm. Capsule 8-10 mm.
