Description Stems slender or succulent; leaves 5-75 mm. in diameter, crenate or crenately lobed, glabrous, the petiole 0.5-40 cm. long, glabrous; peduncles glabrous, usually longer than the leaves; rays glabrous, 2-25 mm. long; fruit ellipsoid, 1-2 mm. long, 2-3 mm. broad, the ribs obtuse.

Distribution Wet places throughout the temperate and warmer Americas, and apparently adventive elsewhere.
