Annotation: The holotype at QCNE is numbered " C.H. Dodson 18219", and according to the photocopy of Dodson´s original fieldbook and description, this corresponds to the collection of Pleurothyrium giganthum. In the same fieldbook, the collection number "18217" is a specimen of Orchidaceae (Mormodes andreettae). Evidently, the citation of "Dodson 18217" in the protologue is an error. Therefore, the specimen of Dodson 18219 is marked at QCNE as the holotype and this correction is noted. There are no duplicates of Dodson 18219 and there is no specimen marked Dodson 18217 at QCNE.
