Description Trees to about 15 m. tall. Leaves sessile or subsessile, the blade obovate- spatulate, shortly and abruptly acuminate to broadly rounded at the tip, gradually attenuate from above the middle to a decurrent subpetiolar base, about 6-10 dm. long and 2-4 dm. broad, subcoriaceous, glabrous. Flowers in small umbelliform cauliflorous clusters; hypanthium about 3 mm. long and 2 mm. broad; calyx frequently nearly entire in bud, but at anthesis usually splitting into 4 rather broad lobes about 2 mm. long; petals 4, white or cream, about 1.5-2.0 cm. long. Fruit unknown.
