Arboles hasta 25 m de alto. Hojas enteras, angostamente elípticas, 10–30 cm de largo y 4–12 cm de ancho, pinnatinervias con 15–25 pares de nervios secundarios, aplicado-aracnoides en el envés; pecíolos 2–8 cm de largo, acostillados, aplicado-pubescentes. Flores pistiladas en umbelas, pedicelo no cupuliforme en el ápice. Antocarpos 1.5–2.2 cm de largo.

Rara, pluvioselvas, Río San Juan; 200 m; fr feb; Neill 3389, Rueda 6039; Nicaragua a Perú, Amazonia brasileña y las Guayanas.
