not to be corrected to "paliformis"; epithet is presumably (albeit not explicitly) based on Latin pala (= shovel, in allusion to the shape of the petals), rather than palus (= stake), and should thus be acceptable as a pseudocompound that serves to make an etymological distinction [see ICN Art. 60.8 and Rec. 60G.1(c), especially Ex. 4, which addresses an analogous case involving tuba and tubus]
