Annotation: Perrier (1938) cites Ridl. in Journ. Linn. Soc. 21: 486. 1885, however Ridley did not effect a combination in Angraecum, stating only that: "Aeranthus Curnowianus, Reichenb. fil. Gard. Chron. 1883, ii. p. 306, a plant recently introduced into cultivation from Madagascar, would belong to the genus Angraecum as defined by the authors of the 'Genera Plantarum.' I have not seen it."
