Type-Protologue

Locality: A plant was figured by Mr. Bateman in his Orchidaceae of Mexico and Guatemala, t. 19, which flowered in the collection of Mr. Barker, and which was obtained by that gentleman's collector, Ross, in 1838, in the neighbourhood of Oaxaca in Mexico.
