Note
|
This is a widespread species which exhibits considerable variation in the size of the leaves and character and amount of pubescence. The rather slender, regularly curved spikes, short petioles, and somewhat longer peduncles are characteristic features. Variety Iaevifoliurn has slightly less scabrous leaves but otherwise agrees in all respects.
