1. Nardus stricta L., Sp. Pl. 53 (1753). Lectotipo (designado por Cope en Jarvis et al., 1993): Europa, Anon. (LINN-73.5).

Tallos 10-40 cm. Vainas persistentes; lígula hasta 2 mm, truncada; láminas 4-30 cm x c. 0.5 mm, patentes en la madurez. Inflorescencia 3-8 cm, pauciflora. Espiguillas 5-9 mm; arista 1-3 mm; anteras 3.5-4 mm. 2n=26. Potreros húmedos. CR (Weston y Kincaid 4590, ISC). (Nativa en N. Eurasia; adventicia en NE. Norteamérica, Costa Rica, África del Norte, Australia.)
