  • LT: mis. spmn. {specimen?} Brasil absque nom. cl. Mertens; ; Brazil (LE-TRIN-1647.01/A:LE-TRIN-1647.01) This sheet was the basis of the illustration in Sp. Gram. Icon. 1: pl. 23 (1828). A second sheet filed with the Lectotype, LE-TRIN-1647.02, has no data or notes on the sheet of any kind. A US fragm. from hb. Munich, "Martius, Iter. Bras., Prov. Minar.[?]" is probably an ILT. ILT: G00168405, M, US-(fragm. ex hb. Munich)
  • OM: Lansgsdorff; ; In montibus altis pr. Tepico Brasil; 438 A2 says In gram. mont. ad fluminas, Reidel, Mar 1826, and 266. 266 is also on A3 (LE-TRIN-cat. no. 438/A2 & A3; US-998644 (fragm. ex LE)) This US fragment represents material not found under Vilfa aenea Trin. folder in 1994, Trinius himself did not associate "Langsdorff", or montibus altus prope Tepico with this species protologue in Gram. Panic. 1826 or Sp. Gram. Icon. 1828.
