Annotation: nom. inval., Art. 33.6(a), Ex. 11. Intended as a new comb. based on Nees & Meyen's concept of Gynerium quila [a species of Cortaderia]. However, Nees & Meyen cited Arundo quila Molina (1782) [a species of Chusquea] in synomy, so that their name nomeclaturally applies to a Chusquea species.
