• T: Commerson s.n.; 1767; Argentina One of the Paris sheets labeled "Buenos Ayres" is surely the same specimen referred to by Cabrera (Bol. Soc. Argent. 9:380. 1961) but cannot be considered to be the lectotype designated therein as Cabrera states that the label reads "Buenos Ayres" whereas the P-LAM sheet clearly reads "Monte-Video" as does the protologue (jp-2005).
