Annual herbs, 1-5 (-8) cm high with thin prostate branching, densely grey and white woolly. Leaves small, linear or narrowly spathulate, obtuse, sessile, entire, dense woolly, 5-12 x 1.5-2 mm. Capitula terminal, glomerate, surrounded by closely touching floral leaves, equalling to capitula, white woolly; phyllaries 2-seriates, subequal in size, 2-3 x 0.3-0.5 mm, scarious at margins, outer linear-lanceolate, obtuse, dorsally pubescent; inner linear-spathulate, obtuse-rotundate, glabrous. Marginal florets many, up to 50, arranged in 2-3 rows, filiform, 2-3-toothed, female. Disc florets tubular, 5-6, bisexual, corolla 4-5-lobed. Cypselas ellipsoid, papillate and pubescent, 0.5-1 mm long; pappus setae barbellate, yellowish, 2 mm long, 8-10, plumose with relatively long side branches.
