Erect shrub, stem erect, solid, terete, main branch grey brown, side branches reddish brown; leaf base appendage mostly persistent, 5-7, ovate lancolate, acute, in single whorl, tomentose at the margins, scaly; ridges entire conspicuous at the node. Leaves solitary, simple, alternate; exstipulate; petiole 2-5 mm long, leaf base oblique, lamina lanceolate to rhomboid; 12 x 7-10 mm, dentate to serrate, dentation starts from half of the leaf length, apex more or less glandular and darker than rest of the leaf; brownish pale green adaxially, lighter tint of the same shade abaxially; glabrous or glabrescent, wax deposites on lower surface, veins mostly 2-3, lower veins prominent on the lower side. Inflorescence simple umbel, 5-12 x 7-25 mm; peduncle 10-12 mm. Flowers white, up to 8 mm in diameter, bisexual, pedicel up to 9 mm long; bracteole linear, 1 mm; hypanthium campanulate c. 4 mm. Sepals 5, polysepalous, triangular ovate c. 3 x 1 mm; tomentose inside only. Petals 5, polypetalous, ± 3 x 3.5 mm; rose like, orbicular to rounded, notch absent. Stamens free, 10-23; filament 2-3 mm long, anther c. 0.5 mm in diameter. Carpels 5, unequal in size, c. 3.5 mm long; ovary c. 1.5 mm long, glabrous, style c. 1.75 mm long; stigma elongated, funnel shaped, cup or heart shaped, 0.1-0.4 x 0.2-0.6 mm. Fruit follicle, smooth.
