Comment/Acknowledgements: A rare species found between 3,600 – 4200 m.

Perennial, rosette forming erect or ascending herbs. Flowering stem naked, 10-25 cm. Leaves crowded at the base, ± equal to the length of the stem, mature 15-25 paired, petioles short. Basal stipules brown, upper stipules leafy. Leaflets oblong to oblanceolate, terminal leaflets 2-2.5 cm long, acutely 15-25 dentate serrate adpressed pilose above, densely sericeous below. Flowers c. 2 cm diam., pedicels 1-2 cm long, pilose. Calyces subequal, pilose, outer oblong obtuse, entire or divided, inner ovate acute. Petals yellow, obovate-orbicular 8-10 x 7-8 mm. Stamens about 20. Carpels numerous, styles lateral, thickened above, clavate. Achenes 2-3 x 2 mm, black, shiny, beaked.
