White tomentose herbs to 30 cm tall. Leaves odd- pinnate 3-4.5 cm long. Leaflets 5-9 sessile, their size decreasing downward from the terminal one, obovate-orbicular, with 3-16 glandular tipped teeth or lobes along the margins, abaxially white tomentose with densely intermixed short and long hairs, adaxially tomentose with short dark brown hairs. Flowers perfect, 5-merous. Pedicels ebracteate, 5-17 mm long, densely tomentose with very soft densely interlaced woolly hairs, bracts leafl ike, bracteoles absent. Epicalyx lobes 5, or sometimes 6 or 10, 1.2-2.0 x 0.3-0.8 mm, lanceolate, acute, tips glandular, tomentose abaxially with soft woolly haris, deltoid, glabrous adaxially with faint venation. Sepals 5 or rarely 6, 1.5 - 2.8 x 0.8-1.2 mm, tomentose abaxially with soft woolly hairs, glabrous adaxially except at pubescent and glandular apices. Petals 5 or rarely 6, creamy white, 1.5-2.5 x 0.8-1.5 mm, ovate-lanceolate, obtuse-emerginate. Stamens 5, filaments 0.3 0.5 mm long, terete, anthers 0.2-0.3 x c. 0.2 mm, circular-elliptical, disc circular, 0.7-1.0 mm across. Carpels 8-18, inserted on a tomentose receptacle, ovary c. 0.5 x c. 0.3 mm, obovate, hairy at base, styles 0.5-0.7 mm long, lateral, glabrous, stigma c. 0.5 mm across, capitate, light brown. Achene brown, 0.8-2.0 x 0.4-0.7 mm, reniform, a keel-l ike structure present on the stylar side, usually with wrinkles or folds, dull, the style usually persistent.
