Notas : Remijia hispida is characterized by its dense hirsute to hispid or pilose pubescence together with is medium-sized (for Remijia) leaves and inflorescences, its somewhat small capsules, and spiciform inflorescences with numerous robust flowers. The flowers are enclosed by several well developed bracts, and the calyx limb is apparently well developed and apparently deciduous on the fruits. Simlar abundant, well developed pubescence is also found on Remijia reducta, which has smaller leaves and inflorescences with 1-3 flowers and is found at higher elevations, and on Remijia asperula, which has significantly larger leaves and inflorescences and is found in Brazil. Based on the description Remijia hispida is also similar to Remijia hirsuta of Brazil, with larger leaves and a much shorter calyx limb.
Distribución : Humid vegetation on sandy substrates at 100-600 m in southern Venezuela (Amazonas) and adjacent southeastern Colombia.
