Notes:
This species is characterized by its verticillate leaves with the secondary veins deeply impressed and its lax inflorescences branched to several orders. The type locality is unknown, but this does not appear to be distinct from Remijia ferruginea. This name was not treated by Schumann in the Flora Brasiliensis (1889).
