Notes:
This species is characterized by its ligulate or ovate stipules with glands in their upper parts, its short-petiolate to subsessile, medium-sized oblanceolate leaves with rounded to truncate bases, its sessile capiate several-flowered inflorescences, and its somewhat well developed corollas with horns on the lobes. Rudgea apodantha is generally similar to Rudgea nodosa.
