This species is characterized by its stipules that are shortly united around the stem and on each interpetiolar side rounded and aristate, its petiolate elliptic-oblong leaves with brochidodromous venation, and its pedunculate cymose inflorescences with white salverform flowers. This species has not been studied in detail but was accepted by Bruniera (2015), however it has several characters of Faramea and perhaps should be compared with that genus.
