Notes:

The leaves vary from deeply pinnatifid to at least partly pinnate, with the tissue connecting the leaf lobes along the costa often reduced. Pentagonia imparipinnata is probably not distinct from Pentagonia gymnopoda, see comments under that name.

Distribution: Wet and perhaps humid forest at 0-900 m in southern Central America, in Panama, and perhaps adjacent Colombia.
