Notes:
This species is characterized by its triangular stipules with laciniate margins and a spathulate medial appendage, thick-textured leaves, its shortly pedunculate subcapitate inflorescences with well developed bracts, its medium-sized corollas, and its rather large fruits. Rudgea pittieri is similar to Rudgea trianae.
