Notas :

This species is characterized by a rather small habit (for Amphidasya), 4-merous flowers, well developed distinctive calyx lobes, and a well developed corolla with the tube 40-46 mm long. The calyx lobes are spathulate, with an elliptic to ovate blade 6-8 mm long on a slender stipitate portion 5-12 mm long. Some plants of Amphidasya have panudate calyx lobes that can appear spathulate when young, but that species has 5-merous flowers and a corolla tube 12-13 mm long.

Distribución : Wet forest at 10-1000 m, central to western Panama and infrequently collected in adjacent northwestern Colombia.
