Notas : This species is characterized by its rather slender habit, narrow leaves, short stipules, short inflorescences that generally do not extend much past the leaves, funnelform white to blue corollas, and ellipsoid flattened fruits. It is similar to Palicourea pauciflora and Palicourea pauciflora of Central America, and to Palicourea chaquirana of the Cordillera Oriental of the Andes in Colombia. The reproductive biology of Paliocurea salicifolia was studied by Wesselengh et al., Biotropica 31: 637-645. 1999.
Distribución : Wet montane forest vegetation at 2000-2650 m, often with Quercus, Costa Rica and western Panama.
