This species is charcterized by medium-sized stiff-textured leaves, subsessile to shortly pedicellate 4-merous flowers, a dentate calyx limb ca. 0.5 mm long, and white corollas with the slender tube ca. 35--38 mm long. It is similar to Ferdinandiusa schultesii, and generally similar to Ferdinandusa uaupensis with much shorter corollas.
