Notas
:
This species does not appear to have been collected in recent times, and Puff & Buchner (1994) suggested that it is either rare or possibly extinct. They cited the localities as the Andrangaloaka forest (19°02'S 47°55'E) and "Didy a Brickaville". In general aspect this species resembles a robust Galium with its sessile whorled leaves, angled to narrowly winged stems, and inflorescences with numerous quite small flowers and fruits. A few additional specimens are here provisionally included in this species but will need confirmation.
