Annotation: authority citation often given as "Willd. ex Roem. & Schult."; however, Willdenow is indicated as having used the name Schwenkfeldia villosa for this species, thus deserves no "ex" citation (see ICBN Art. 46, Note 2). Schultes alone (without Roemer) has been considered the author of Syst. Veg. Vol. 5 (see TL-2, as well as ICBN Art. 46, Ex. 11), but this seems to be based on a mis-translation of the introduction.
