Notas : The identity of this name is not completely clear; it seesm to be similar to Palicourea weberbaueri. This name is used here for a distinctive species of western Colombia with medium-sized coriaceous leaves, stipules with a truncate sheath and two short triangular lobes, a congested pyramidal inflorescence with yellow axes, rather short calyx limbs, medium-sized fleshy blue corollas, and subglobose fruits.
Distribución : Montane forests in western Colombia and in Ecuador.
