This species is charecterized by slender regularly branched stems, medium-sized leaves with the tertiary venation regularly reticulated and the quaternary venation weakly lineolate, slender peduncles with 3-5 subcapitate flowers, yellow corollas ca. 15 mm long; its fruits are apparently not known. It does not seem to be spiny. Chomelia caurensis is known from a localized range where various other Rubiaceae are endemic. It may not be distinct from Chomelia polyantha, and is also similar to Chomelia glabricalyx.
