Notas : This species is characterized by its erect stems, thick shiny leaves, stipules with several fimbriae or linear lobes that are minutely setose or pubescent, and the flowers several in a subcapitate group. Arcytophyllum setosum is rather commonly collected. Arcytophyllum setosum is similar to to Arcytophyllum capitatum, which has glabrous stipule fimbriae and leaves that are markedly mucronate at the apex. Arcytophyllum setosum is also similar to Arcytophyllum macbridei of northern Peru; that species was separated based on its longer sitpule fimbriae or lobes and may be a distinct species or a well marked form of Arcytophyllum setosum, see the discussion on its page.
Distribución : Páramo vegetation at 3000-4000 m from Colombia to Bolivia.
