Notes: This species has thin-textured, medium-sized to robust leaves, several pedunculate flower heads in a fasciculate group at the stem apex or subtended by apparently ternate or alternative leaves (due to anisophylly of the subtending leaves), and dentate calyx limbs.
Distribution: Wet forest at low elevations, ca. 200-650 m, in the western Amazon basin in Bolivia (Pando), Brazil (Acre), and Peru (Madre de Dios).
